« On one hectare of greenery, immerse yourself in the world of the farm with Bucolia, an immersive space dedicated to ancient domestic breeds, sometimes little-known or in small numbers. »
A life-size farm, closer to the animals

Bucolia is designed as a true conservatory where heritage and domestic biodiversity meet. Visitors of all ages can discover life on the farm in a natural, sensory setting. They can get close to ancient and emblematic breeds such as Solognot sheep, Cou Clair goats, or the Grand Noir du Berry donkeys, while also encountering more familiar and endearing animals like Shetland ponies or rabbits—for an experience that is both fun and educational.

The Solognot sheep
An ambassador for conservation
This ancient domestic breed, deeply rooted in the landscapes of the Sologne region, reached its peak during the Renaissance before declining with changes in agriculture. Hardy and resilient, recognizable by its reddish-brown fleece, it thrives outdoors and is naturally curious and sociable. At Bucolia, the Solognot sheep becomes a true ambassador for the conservation of local breeds: it allows visitors to discover a rare species and understand the importance of preserving traditional breeds and regional animal heritage.

'Les Roches Vives’: an adventure along the water

After discovering the farm animals, 'Les Roches Vives’ welcomes you for a fun and refreshing break. Open from April to the end of September, this vast area of around 1,000 m² invites children to play with water in a nature-inspired setting. Water jets, cooling mists, a small wild river, tunnels, and waterfalls create an exploration playground full of surprises. Young adventurers can also take on a course with areas at different heights, including a rope bridge 3 meters above the ground. A place designed for fun, wonder, and enjoying a cool moment with family.

Beauval Nature: taking action for local biodiversity
Through its program dedicated to local biodiversity, Beauval Nature works to preserve and restore species and natural habitats in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Wildlife inventories, animal population monitoring, installation of birdhouses and bat shelters, creation of ponds, and habitat restoration… many actions are carried out to encourage the presence of birds, amphibians, reptiles, and insects around Beauval. This program also includes awareness initiatives for the public and schools, helping people better understand and protect the biodiversity around us.
